CO 3 sts.
Knit one row.
Increase row: K1, m1R , k to 1 st from end, m1L, k1.
Repeat the increase row 13 times more — 31 sts.
Next row: K1, ssk, k9, k2tog , k1, slip 1 knitwise, k , psso , ssk, k9, k2tog, k1 — 5 sts decreased.
You will now work only on the last 13 sts. The first set of 13 sts will remain on the needle but will be resting.
Next row (and every WS row): Knit all sts.
Decrease row: K1, ssk, k to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1.
Next row: Knit all sts.
Repeat these two rows until 5 sts remain.
Next row (RS): K1, ssk, k to end — 4 sts.
Bind off all sts. Cut yarn.
You’ll now work the first set of held sts.
Join yarn on WS and knit all sts.
Decrease row: K1, ssk, k to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1.
Next row (and all WS rows): Knit all sts.
Repeat these two rows until 5 sts remain.
Next row (RS): K to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1.
Bind off all stitches. Cut yarn.
Weave in the ends with a darning needle.
